Sure, the ‘look’ of the website isn’t to be ignored, but the time and money spent on getting that right instead of on getting the copy right is usually totally disproportionate to it’s importance in the overall scheme of things. If website owners and developers spent as much time on getting the copy right as they do on the ‘look’, there would be a lot more successful websites around.

As you may have guessed this is a little obsession of mine because, as a website builder, I have often been in the position of being blamed for a websites lack of success. This after spending months fruitlessly cajoling the owner to provide me with some decent copy for their web pages.

Maybe it’s because i’m a little older than most involved in the industry, or maybe i’m just not very sociable , but I haven’t been too interested in the Social Networking revolution that has been happening over the last couple of years.
